Levies
The basic levy amount listed below covers all stationery requirements, art and craft materials and other class learning materials, equipment and services, excursions and cultural performances attended by your child throughout the year.

Families that have difficulty paying will be able to make confidential arrangements to pay by installments. The school does not have EFTPOS facilities. You will be advised of all excursions and cultural performances attended via the Newsletter and special notices home.
Student Assistance
Government assistance covers the cost of the equipment and materials component of the levy. This is available to students whose parents are low-income earners or in receipt of a pension. If you feel that you might qualify for assistance because of a change in family and/or employment situation, please contact the school office at your earliest convenience to complete the necessary form and provide the required proof of income.

Uniform
Students are encouraged to wear school uniform. Both new and second-hand uniforms maybe purchased from the school office. Uniform consists of:

Parents are encouraged to clearly mark all belongings with the student's name.
Bus service
The majority of our students travel to and from school on the bus. Our bus service is operated by Mr. Bill Free and picks up students from near Runnymede and Whitefoord in the opposite direction.
Student banking
The school offers a student banking service through the Commonwealth bank. Banking takes place each Tuesday morning. Students are encouraged to participate in school banking and forms are available from the school office.
Sunsmart policy
Levendale Primary School has been appointed a 'Sunsmart school' by the Tasmanian Cancer Council for our sunsmart policy. Our policy has been developed to ensure that all students and staff are protected from skin damage caused by the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. Hats are worn during outside breaks and sporting activities in Term one and Term three.
Parent and community involvement
School Association
Membership of the School Association includes all parents, staff and recognised members of the school community. The Association is involved in discussing and ratifying school policy. The Association meets each month on a Wednesday after school 3.30pm - 5.00pm.
Playgroup
Playgroup is run each Thursday morning in the early childhood room, from 10.15am - 11.30am. Cost is $1.00 per child and morning tea is available. Our playgroup program, developed by Susanne Iles, is exciting and challenging for children, as well as providing a social outlet for parents.
